In Summer 2021 we connected with reggae artist Tarrus Riley on the set of his new music video "Love Salute".
Director Walu Mwalilino allowed us creative control over the headwrap and body wrap fashion options. We styled Tarrus and the lead dancers in some of our best wraps, infusing pieces for each artist that were reminiscent of 90s dancehall parties on a weekend in Brooklyn.
Surrendering the ego to love was theme. Tarrus wore two separate print headwraps for the opening and middle scenes, and the two lead dancers playing each other's love interests were dressed in several of our classic and tribal print wraps.
Since the video release we've seen our styles make it to VP Records, Tidal's Roots Reggae Playlist, Jamaica Gleaner, The Estelle Show and more.
